Join Emma in the Weston Room for this all day workshop in charcoal and soft pastel. Using these soft mediums we will be creating drawings of steam and steam trains. Charcoal is a quick medium so there will be a chance to draw a few drawings on the day, including adding soft pastels for atmospheric skies. Charcoal and soft pastels are messy and will get on your hands while drawing, you may want to wear gloves which can be provided. This workshop is suitable for all levels. Expert tuition will be given throughout the day with step by step demonstrations and one 2 one support. You will learn how to draw in charcoal, blending techniques, using other tools such as cotton wool and cotton buds, creating atmosphere, fixing and adding some pastel for subtle colour. All materials are supplied on the day. Bring an apron, I will have disposable ones available on the day. Bring your own lunch, tea & coffee is available with a small charge and free biscuits!
