Service Description

Join Emma in this workshop in the Weston Room where we will be painting a Japanese Workshop. Using Japanese brushes, rice paper, watercolour paper and traditional techniques, you will create symbolic paintings using watercolour and ink. There will be opportunities to paint a selection of images, you will be able to frame one of these on the day as part of the workshop. Japanese Watercolour is a relaxing experience, I will also be talking about some of the history of this beautiful art form and its origins. In this workshop you will learn: how to use a Japanese Brush Japanese Watercolour Techniques Paint with rice paper How to prepare Japanese painting Use of symbolic images for Japanese Watercolours Paint in watercolours and in ink All materials are supplied on the day. Please bring your lunch. Refreshments are provided at a small charge plus free biscuits! Please bring a ceramic plate for colour mixing or ceramic palette if you have one. I have plastic palettes you can use on the day.
