Service Description
Join Emma in the Weston Room where you will be guided step by step with drawing & painting botanical flowers and grasses. We will look at how flowers and grasses are constructed and create pretty watercolour paintings using hot press watercolour paper, and maybe adding book pages to paint on. Still life flowers will also be provided to paint from as well as photocopies. This will be a relaxing workshop, painting in light translucent layers to create watercolour paintings, where there may be an opportunity to frame a final piece. You will learn: drawing skills and how flowers are constructed with shape light translucent layers in watercolour painting with hot press paper to create an illustration fine lines and how to paint detailed work colour mixing and mixing greens ** watercolour mixes best on ceramic, so if you have a dinner plate please bring it in to mix your colours** I will provide plastic palettes if you do not have one. This workshop is open to all levels beginner to intermediate, and all are welcome. Please bring your lunch. Refreshments are provided at a small charge plus free biscuits!
