Painted from a photograph I took after walking down Jacob's Ladder in Sidmouth, Devon, this 7" x 5" oil on board captures the striking red cliff set against a vibrant blue sky. On that hot day, the warmth of the sun and the texture of the pebble beach created an inspiring scene that nearly made me forget I had fallen over on the pebbles. As a dedicated plein air artist, I aim to infuse each piece with the authentic atmosphere and emotion of the moment.
